Releasing Data

At this point, your work is done! Once your data and metadata are successfully uploaded, and we have completed annotating your data, it is ready to be released.'

Releases happen at the end of every month.

During a release, here’s what happens to the data:

• It will be moved from the staging folders to the public folders in Synapse

• The AD-DCC will contact you with a link to the released data on the portal

• Each data release is provided as a data freeze that is associated with Data Release Notes

• The research community is made aware of the data release through the portal newsletter and Twitter
