Release Data

Data submission process step five release data.

At this point, your work is done! Once your data and metadata are successfully uploaded, validated, and has passed all of our internal checks, it is ready to be released. Releases happen at the end of every month.

During a release, here’s what happens to the data:

  1. Access restrictions are applied to the data folders in Synapse, and the folders are changed from private to public access

  2. The AD DCC will contact you with a link to the released data on the portal

  3. Each data release is provided as a data freeze that is associated with Data Release Notes

  4. The research community is made aware of the data release through the portal newsletter
